This Month's General meeting will be held a week early as to not conflict with Thanksgiving.  This month we have a presentation by Mike Walsh - Exploring the Big Island: Hawaii's Kona Coast

Hawaii is a well know exotic vacation destination for topside tourists and also offers a wide variety of scuba diving encounters.  The Kona Aggressor II is Hawaii's only live aboard and operates along the Kona coast on the west side of the big island.  In October of 2011 Mike Walsh spent a week aboard the Aggressor and also spent time touring the big island.  Underwater encounters included endemic species, marine mammals, turtles and mantas along with a host of fish and invertebrates.  Topside encounters included lush landscapes, waterfalls, the Ironman triathlon and of course, lava.

Mike Walsh is an avid scuba diver with over 1200 logged dives. His dive interests include lobster diving in New England, fossil diving in North Carolina, wreck diving, cave diving and underwater photography.
